The Visual Arts Program at Stevensville Primary School encourages the development of skills and the exploration of techniques required to create, present and respond to artworks.

All students participate in a weekly 60minute session in the Art room. During this time they experience a wide range of activities, through planned units of work, based on a sequential skill development program that incorporates the seven areas of Art Education: drawing, painting, printing, collage, threads and textiles, modelling and construction.

The students are encouraged to build upon their appreciation of art by sharing and discussing their own work and that of their peers and by exploring artworks in their own culture and the culture of others.
Students' work is proudly displayed on the display boards in front of the Art room and in the Art room.
